OFAC Closely Matched Names
Considering the hard time that Executive order 19359 has had in the courts recently, with the order against Xiaomi overturned and the order against Luokung suspended. It comes as no surprise that the Treasury has decided to err on the side of caution and extend the deadline via a General Licence till the 1th of June.
I am sure that there will be a couple more twists to this saga before final implementation, the idea of closely matched names, was too open for interpretation and would have resulted in more court cases. However the DOD still seems to be pushing for specific names to be added to the list.
