Long and short Nasdaq
ETF Securities is listing two new ETFs that are leveraged and short and hedged in Australian Dollar.
ETFS Ultra Long Nasdaq 100 Hedge Fund (LNAS)
ETFS Ultra Short Nasdaq 100 Hedge Fund (SNAS)
Both are run as actively managed hedge funds that trade on the Australian Securities Exchange. They buy and short sell Nasdaq 100 futures on the margin. The funds target 200 – 275% positive and negative exposure to the Nasdaq. If the funds’ target leverage falls outside this range ETF Securities people work to reset it. Roll costs are low as there are not much dividends on the Nasdaq.
