First Trust brings Blockchain ETFs to London

US ETF provider First Trust is bringing its blockchain ETFs over the pond and listing its blockchain trackers on the London Stock Exchange. The First Trust Indxx Innovative Transaction & Process UCITS ETF (BLOK, LEGR) will be available both in dollars and pounds. It tracks companies using a tiering method based on how exposed to and how embracing of blockchain they are. 

Canada

Purpose offers ETF version of funds

Toronto-based Redwood, a subsidiary of Purpose Investments, is changing the structure of several of its funds, offering them instead as ETFs. The switch is intended to help to lower cost and “improve investor experience.” 

The newly-named listings, which previously appeared under the Redwood sub-brand are:

  • Purpose Global Innovators Fund (PINV)
  • Purpose Strategic Yield Fund (SYLD)
  • Purpose Multi-Asset Income Fund (PINC)
  • Purpose Strategic Investment Grade Bond Fund (IGB)

Japan

Mitsubishi lists a J-REIT ETF

Mitsubishi subsidiary Maxis is listing a new ETF that tracks the Tokyo Stock Exchange REIT Core Index. The MAXIS J-REIT Core ETF (2517) is not the first J-REIT ETF listed in Japan: other major issuers, including BlackRock and Nikko AM, already have one.
